The lab has many advanced functions, - but whatever you are after, - we will do our utmost to give you the results you want. Service Time 24 hours or less. Fuji Pictrostat Prints from Slides - In under 5 minutes -from 35 mm, APS, and 120 slides to 6X9 Glossy or Lustre.
Discounts available for 5 or more. The Fuji Pictrostat has 2 output sizes, but any image size upto the maximum can be printed with black borders. The quality is great, - better than C - type process, but not to CIBACHROME standards ( or Prices ! ) Please remember that no photographic paper is capable of reproducing the contrast range that slide films can capture. There is always some loss of highlight and/or lowlight detail / contrast. For more information, contact us Black & White Photo Services We operate a hand processing service for conventional B&W films, then print to all the standard sizes from mini-prints to A4 size with or without borders on our mini-lab using colour print paper. Service time is typically 24 hours, and quality is very good. Despite using colour paper, you can expect true mono-chromatic results as the quality of the scanner on our lab is sooooo good, alternatively, - you can ask for a blanket colour cast over all your photos. e.g. Sepia, blue, magenta, etc. TOP TRIVIA The word 'sepia' comes from the Latin for Cuttlefish. When startled, the cuttlefish, like octopus and squid release an ink into the water to confuse enemies. Cuttlefish ink is dark yellow / brown. Chromogenic Films These hybrid films include Ilford XP2 & Kodak T400CN T-MAX ( recommended ) Spectrum Imaging offers a 29-minute service on these films, and a large range of sizes. This type of 'Black & White' film is actually a C41 colour type film that gives monochromatic results. The difference is that C41 colour type film use dyes that create the image, whereas true B & W films use silver metal density to create a shadow of the image; - hence the chemical process is completely different. Chromogenic films give very good results, and we process them as standard colour films, but print them using specific data appropriate for good mono results. All types of B & W film are suitable for home printing / re-printing in your darkroom. For more information, contact us LOMO Photography Lomo photography is an exciting and alternative way of enjoying photography, and of using and displaying your photos. It is a new 'style' of image capture and display using a special camera. There are countless paged on the web devoted to this exciting new discipline ( or lack of ) Take a look from our links page. We have set up special channels on our lab to give true lomo authentic results, - otherwise our lab is just too cleaver and will try to correct for your errors. Most of our processes involve the production of transferes using our Canon Colour device, which can be applied to a range of WHITE products. E.g. Mugs, T-Shirts, Mousemats, Jigsaws, Albums & Frames, Flags, etc. Basically, - anything that can be colour photocopied, or printed from a PC can be applied. If you want a final product that is not white, - e.g. a yellow T-Shirt, - then the background colour ( yellow ) will effect the accuracy of the colours on the print.
