Who are we?

Spectrum Imaging is an independent full service high street image store offering all the best in photo, copy and image services including 29-MINUTE PHOTO, Digital & Analogue Copying, and P.C. Printout services.

We were established in 1987 as 'Quick-Pics 1 Hour Photo', and in that year won the North East New Business of The Year Award ( Sponsored by Newcastle Chronicle )

As Newcastle's First mini-lab we rapidly established ourselves with both Professionals and consumers alike, and initial fears that quality might suffer at the expense of speed were dismissed.

The early years were a haze of photographic activity as we adopted new and emerging technologies, and we scooped many awards including 'Livewire' and Fuji technical and quality awards.

During the early 90's - it became apparent that there was a converging of technologies, and there was an increasing overlap between the service areas of Fast Photo and Quick-Print shops. Spectrum would bridge & combine the traditional areas covered by such specialists, and embrace new computer technologies such as D.T.P. and Image Editing.

As new paper outputs evolve, Spectrum will be ideally suited to offer the very best in ANALOGUE & DIGITAL COPY, PRINT, LASER, RISO, DYE-SUBLIMATION, INK-JET, and other media.
